Flipkart - Concluding thoughts

Flipkart is a story of change. The story of how one company is revolutionising the retail industry in india by reinventing the wheels of e-commerce.
Everything in the field of ecommerce is at the edge of a new horizon. It will enable small entrepreneurs to do business. It will enable the supply quality goods to length and breadth of the country without any need of local distributor, agent or a physical store.

Yes Indians do buy gadgets and books online and infuture a lot more online. the only need is that the provider of the service is a relieble vendor. It does make a lot of sense to order online and save the time.

So coming to the question of entrepreneurship, I would say that a
Great deal of success depends on persistence and blind faith in ones ideas in the face of uncertainity.

Entrepreneurship is not about just an idea or a dream. Its all about hard work. Its about blood, sweat and tears. Its about staying out of the comfort zone to the level of insanity.

At this point it is important to distinguish ideas & dreams from a "vision". A dream or an idea is something that you possess or cherish.

A vision is something that posseses you. Sachin Bansal, a graduate from the IIT Delhi resigned his high paying job of amazon.com to pursue not a dream but a vision.

It may have looked insane to many to see Mr Bansal resign his job and start some company which makes him run around Delhi buying books and couriering it to customers. But that precisely is the difference that separates the visionary from the rest.

So what determines the success of one visionary over another? Why do some people fail and others succeed in the same thing? Some call it luck, some call it past experience, some call it hardwork, technical knowledge etc

But I look at it differently. Success is not only when you reach your goal and the idea becomes a "commercial success" in the market.

Success is when you have the courage to follow your vision and enjoy the progress to the path.

This is because Ups and downs are a part of all entrepreneurial ventures. Finally success is a journey not a destination.
